  1. Another way of getting the save game variables that you want is by using Gibbed's Mass Effect 2 Save Editor. This save game editor allows you to change variables and checks placed within your Mass Effect 2 save file, which contains data from your Mass Effect save file (if you imported one).
  2. Alternatively, run Mass Effect 2 on the old Xbox to import the character, then save the game and move the resulting save file to the new Xbox. For Xbox 360 units without hard drives, such as the Arcade unit: Importing a Mass Effect save works for any and all devices and Xbox 360 SKUs.

360So I’ve looked around (maybe not well enough though) and I have a specific question. I want to import my ME 1 character into ME2 and play, but I don’t want Ashley as a romance (I want no romance from ME1). It seems like the ONLY way to make it through ME 1 w/o a romance (as a male) is to either be a jerk to the women (as well as replaying the whole game) or to set Ashley as the romance but dead (which I hear still registers as a romance/picture of her on the desk). Is there a way to use Gibbed’s editor to do this/can you point me to the place that already has this information.

Gibbed was kind enough to make a rather detailed save editor for Mass Effect 2. As usual, though, he didn't bother to add Xbox 360 support. A quick edit and now it does work on the xbox 360. You have to extract your individual xbsav files from your careers for this to work. All I really wanted was to import and play ME2 again without some previous girlfriend (edit out Ashley as a love interest). I’ve looked at the plot flags, but I’ve read loads of conflicting stories about what works, If i were to do the following, would this work/can anyone confirm:
I import my ME 1 Shep.

Would I be able to play ME 2 w/o any ex-girlfriends (esp. ones that might try to haunt me in ME3 for being nice to them in ME1)? I don't want to kill off Ashley, but I was also not intrested and adored Tali from day one.
